A missing Manhattan, Kan., woman might be with a man wanted for murder.
Cora Brown, 37, was reported missing Wednesday. The Riley County Police Department posted on Facebook that she might be with Steven Harris. Harris is wanted on murder and attempted murder charges.
Alexander Robinson, a spokesman with the department, said Harris is accused of killing German Gonzalez-Garcia, a 39-year-old Manhattan man. The shooting occurred Sunday in Riley County.
On Brown’s and Harris’ Facebook pages, the two say they are engaged, Robinson said, but even so, “Cora may be in danger.”
Brown is 5 feet, 3 inches, 120 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
They are thought to be traveling in a gold 2004 Buick Rendezvous, Robinson said.
Harris should be considered armed and dangerous. If he is seen, police urge calling 911 immediately.
Anyone with information regarding Brown’s or Harris’ whereabouts should call Riley County police dispatch at 785-537-2112 or Riley County Crime Stoppers at 785-539-7777.
