Kansas City, Kan., police arrested three people Thursday after an officer saw someone firing shots from a moving car that later crashed.
Officers were waiting for the stoplight to change at 10th Street and Central Avenue just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday when they saw a man leaning out of a car window firing a shotgun as the car moved through the intersection, according to police.
The officers said the gunman did not appear to be shooting directly at anyone.
The officers turned on their lights and sirens, but almost immediately the car crashed about a block away at 10th Street and Pacific Avenue.
Two people were arrested. A third person ran inside a small market but came out and gave up a few minutes later.
Police said there were no injuries related to the shooting.
