Conference champion Lee’s Summit North placed four players on the first team of the Suburban Gold Conference girls soccer team announced this week.
Alexis Mitchell, a senior forward, was selected to the first team from North along with senior midfielder Keelie Fothergill, senior defender Mallory Lepper and junior goalkeeper Sarah Peters. Mitchell was also selected the league’s player of the year, and Peters was named goalkeeper of the year.
Lee’s Summit had two first-team selections in junior forward Izzy Shackelford and junior midfielder Maddie Souder. Junior midfielder Kassidy Newsom of Lee’s Summit West also made the first team.
Other first-team selections were senior forward Nina Stine of Blue Springs South, junior forward Alison Walls, defender Jenna Winebrenner, and junior defender Chais Wright from Park Hill.

Second-team honorees included senior forward Gianna Palmentere and sophomore forward Kaylie Rock from Lee’s Summit North, senior midfielder Gillian Leetch, junior midfielder Grace Heenan and sophomore defender Lainey Thompson from Lee’s Summit West, and junior forward Kayla Deever and junior midfielder Amanda Sampson from Lee’s Summit.
Honorable mention recognition went to senior forward Lili Davis, sophomore forward Hailey Englund, senior defender Jordan Jennings and senior defender Liz Bales from Lee’s Summit North; junior forward Kara Privitera, freshman midfielder Taylor Reid, junior defender Emma Edzards, senior defender McKenzie Hill, junior defender Makayla Martin, junior defender Carsyn Overin and goalkeeper Tori Hunter from Lee’s Summit West; and senior forward Abby Groom, junior defender Sara George, and senior defender Katlyn Mrachek from Lee’s Summit.
Lee’s Summit North head coach Ryan Kelley was named the conference coach of the year.
North, 19-3 won the Class 4 District 13 title last week with a 2-1 victory over Blue Springs South in the final. Mitchell, Rock, Lepper and Peters were selected to the all-district team along with sophomore defender Madelyn Robinson.
The Broncos played St. Teresa’s Academy in a Class 4 sectional game Tuesday.
