The 21st annual Lee’s Summit Social Services Pancake Breakfast is set for Feb. 24 at First Baptist Church, 2 N.E. Douglas St. in Lee’s Summit.
The event is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for Lee’s Summit Social Services, which provides emergency assistance to meet basic financial, food and utility resource needs in the Lee’s Summit, Greenwood, Lake Lotawana and Lone Jack communities.
“Our annual Pancake Breakfast gives us a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and raise funds for our organization,” Lee’s Summit Social Services Director Matt Sanning said in a release. “We are infinitely thankful for those that come out in support of this event and for our corporate and table sponsors. These funds are directly put back into the communities we serve to help with utility bills, rent assistance and in other areas that we are able to assist.”
Corporate sponsorships are available for the event — the “pancake sponsor,” which includes a name or logo printed on the event’s place mats, costs $250 and a “table sponsor,” which includes having a table named for an individual or business, costs $500.
Never miss a local story.
Any donation is welcome and all sponsors will be listed in a “thank-you” advertisement and listed as a partner on the website while also receiving four complimentary tickets to the breakfast.
The pancake breakfast takes place from 7 to 11 a.m. and costs $5 for adults and $3 for children. For more information, visit http://www.lssocialservices.com.
