Financial adviser among top 100
Kathy Stepp has been named to the inaugural list of the 2014 Financial Times Top 100 Women Financial Advisers. Stepp, a principal and co-founder of Overland Park-based Stepp & Rothwell Inc., was the only woman in Kansas and the Kansas City area to be honored by the newspaper.
To qualify, the Financial Times said advisers had to manage at least $200 million in assets and have 10 years’ experience. Candidates were then scored on six attributes, including compliance record, experience, and industry certifications.
New Olathe office
Sitech Central LLC has opened a sales, service and technical support office in Olathe. The company provides construction technology systems for heavy equipment and highway contractors. The office, at 19992 W. 162nd St., serves contractors in Kansas and northwest Missouri.
Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger, who will step down from that post at the end of this year, has received the President’s Award from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. Praeger, who was honored at the organization’s fall meeting in mid-November, served as president of the group in 2008.
