Aldi holding job fair Wednesday morning

Aldi will host a job fair today to hire employees for several of its Johnson County grocery stores. The event is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Aldi located at 16175 W. 135th St. in Olathe. The grocer said it has opening for store associate and shift manager positions for its stores in Olathe, Overland Park, Lenexa and Shawnee.Advocates for senior citizens
The Douglas County Bar Association has honored the Kansas Advocates for Better Care with its 2014 Liberty Bell Award. The Kansas nonprofit organization, which was founded in 1975, advocates for improved quality long-term care.New KU appointments
The University of Kansas has announced three promotions at its Edwards campus.
• Marilu Goodyear was named assistant vice chancellor of academic program development. She was formerly director of the School of Public Affairs.
• Mary Ryan is the new assistant vice chancellor of academic and student services. Ryan was previously associate dean of academic affairs.
• Steve Case has been named director of the Center for STEM Learning- K-12 liason.
In addition, the university has hired Ann Ermey as the project manager on the Edward campus and Lori Wade was hired as the campus’ administrative and financial officer.
