Digital Ally Inc., the Lenexa-based manufacturer of video surveillance products for the law enforcement and homeland security industries, said the Michigan State Administrative Board has agreed to a one-year extension of a contract that calls for spending up to $1 million for an in-car video system and about $250,000 for a speed measurement system.
The company said the one-year extension will increase the total value of its contract with the state to about $4.5 million.
“While we may benefit from certain orders under these contracts during the fourth quarter of 2013, the contracts will allow us to pursue sales opportunities with law enforcement agencies throughout Michigan over the next 12 months,” Stanton E. Ross, Digital Ally’s chief executive said in a statement.Annual dinner
The Shawnee Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual dinner on Jan. 25 at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel. Tickets are $95 per person. David Herndon of Community First Bank is the 2014 chairman of the chamber’s board.
