The Olathe Chamber of Commerce has been awarded a five-star accreditation by the United States Chamber of Commerce for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. Shawnee Mission Medical Center has opened an orthopedic and spine center at the Merriam hospital that will include 20 physicians. The center will also be staffed by nurses, physical therapists, sports medicine experts and pain management specialists. Beth Armstrong has been named director of the center. She’s been part of the hospital’s surgery team since 1991.Spring Hill debt rating
Standard Poor’s Rating Services has raised its rating on Spring Hill’s bond debt to A+ from A. The city said it expects the rating will remain unchanged for the next two years.
