Although the cause of death of a missing Overland Park jogger hasn’t been released, police say his death doesn’t pose any danger to people who live nearby.

Police found the body of Raheel Morani, 24, April 6 behind a housing subdivision in southern Overland Park.

His body was discovered in a heavily wooded area near 164th Street and Quivira Road. He went jogging about 5:30 p.m. April 4 and didn’t return home.

Police were waiting for additional results before they could release the official cause of death, said Officer Gary Mason, an Overland Park police spokesman.

“His death doesn’t pose any risk or concern to the public,” Mason said.

Police hope to release the cause of death next week.
