With the wrestling postseason drawing near, Olathe North had one last order of business: Repeat as Sunflower League champion.
The Eagles won their seventh consecutive crown Feb. 10 during the Sunflower League meet at Olathe East.
Olathe North, the third-place team in last year’s Class 6A state tournament, totaled 220 team points and held off Lawrence Free State (209.5) for the title.

Three Eagles claimed championships among four finalists to keep the program’s streak going.
Sophomore Keegan Slyter won the 120-pound weight class, downing Olathe South’s Dallas Koelzer on a 10-5 decision in the final.
At 138 pounds, Jevon Parrish, the reigning 6A champion at 126 pounds, scored a 17-9 major decision against Free State’s Tate Steele in the 138 final.
Finally, Terrell Garraway (32-2) pinned Olathe Northwest’s Trevor Adam for the crown at 170.
Meanwhile, Joe Triscorina finished second at 106 pounds for the Eagles after losing a 6-1 decision against ONW’s Caden Howard in the final.
Gardner Edgerton finished third with 178 points and also had three champions — Connor Greig (152), Jensen McDermott (160) and Jackson Flowers (220).
Koelzer was one of five finalists for Olathe South, which placed third with 169 points.
Four other Falcons won championships: Jace Koelzer (126), the reigning 6A champion at 106 pounds, along with Gavin Brown (145), Nick Jouret (182), and Zach Vesper (285).
All of the Sunflower League teams except Olathe West will compete in the 6A regional tournament Feb. 16-17 at Lawrence High School. Olathe West will take part in the 5A regional at Turner.
The top eight individuals in each weight class will advance to their respective state tournaments, which take place Feb. 23-24 at Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan., for both 5A and 6A.
