Christmas on Main Street
5:30-8 p.m. — Central Bank of the Midwest parking lot, 204 Main St., Belton
A tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be served. The event also features dancers and a choir. Attendees may get a free Santa Claus photo and treat bag with a donation of canned food. This event is sponsored by Downtown Belton Main Street and Belton Community Projects, Inc.
Belton Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting
5:30-7:30 p.m. — Memorial Station, 602 Maurer Parkway, Belton
The tree lighting ceremony and kick off for Operation Santa will be led by Belton Mayor Jeff Davis and Miss Belton, Sadie Messmer. Proceeds benefit the Belton Welfare Association. The event features entertainment, prizes, and free hot dogs and hot chocolate. Participants are asked to bring two unexpired canned goods or a new, unwrapped toy to receive a free ticket to enter for prizes. Drawings will be held throughout the event inside Memorial Station.

This event will include cookies and hot chocolate, photos with Santa Claus, and a petting zoo. The tree lighting will also kick off the Mayor’s Coats and Clothes Drive for Beacon of Hope, King’s Closet.
Christmas on the Square

This annual event features a craft show, the Chamber’s chili dinner and Christmas tree auction, a pageant, horse and wagon rides, train rides, the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting, and candy canes with Santa Claus.
