36th annual Foxwood Springs Fall Festival of Bargains
9 a.m.-4 p.m. — Foxwood Springs Retirement Center, 1500 West Foxwood Drive, Raymore
Come and shop the nine different venues, including the Bake Shop, Book Nook, Jewelry Shop, Holiday Shop, Gift Shop, Thrift Shop, Bargain Barn and Furniture Garages. There will be a food court, raffle and bidding for gift baskets. In addition, the event will also showcase its inaugural Vintage Show and Shine Car Show on Saturday. Admission is free. Belton Booster Club is organizing a specialty pancake breakfast for the community. Attendees may pay $5 as a suggested donation.
Catch the Spirit 5K Walk/Run
7:15 a.m. — Harrisonville High School, 1504 E. Elm St., Harrisonville
The annual Catch the Spirit 5K Walk/Run will benefit the Harrisonville Public School Foundation and the Christina Collins Memorial scholarship. The event will feature a 5K which begins and ends at Harrisonville High School. Registration is $20. Participants may register up to the day of the race for an additional $5 per person. Race-day registration begins at 7:15 a.m. The 5K begins at 8 a.m. Registration forms are available at www.harrisonvilleschools.org/foundation or at the Harrisonville Schools Administrative Offices.

Flood Relief Fundraiser

The fundraiser will offer a barbecue lunch, music, silent auction, and activities for children. The event has been organized to raise money for families affected by recent flooding in Harrisonville.

Craft Night at Harrisonville Branch

Library attendees are invited to attend a craft class where they will create centerpieces for your table at home. Materials needed include wire wreath, two spools of 1/4-inch or 1/2-inch ribbon, and two packages of paper napkins. The class is limited to 20 people.

Annual Golf Tournament at Loch Lloyd

Inaugural Arvest Bank Oktoberfest
5-10 p.m. — Memorial Park, Belton
Admission is free. Event will have food trucks, a beer garden by Martin City Brewing Co., live bands, craft vendors, a classic car show and activities for children. Oktoberfest in the park is organized by Arvest Bank and Belton Parks & Recreation.
