Raymore City Manager Eric Berlin will leave his post next month to become city administrator in North Kansas City.
Berlin has been city manager in Raymore since 2003. His last day in Raymore will be June 11.
“In the past 11 years, Raymore has experienced dramatic growth and development,” Raymore Mayor Pete Kerckhoff said. “City Manager Eric Berlin was an integral part of the stability the city experienced during that period.”
The mayor credited Berlin for developing a capable staff in Raymore.
Before going to Cass County, Berlin had led the city staffs in Platteville, Wis., and Spring Hill, Kan. He also worked in assistant roles in Greenbelt, Md., West Palm Beach, Fla., and Charlottesville, Va.
Assistant City Manager Jim Feuerborn will be interim city manager in Raymore until Berlin’s replacement is hired.
Matt Shatto resigned in December as city administrator in North Kansas City, a post he had held for nearly three years. He left to become the chief operating officer for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Mike Smith has served as interim city administrator.
