South KC cleanup
As part of its 50th anniversary observance, St. Matthew Apostle Catholic Church is coordinating the 2014 Ruskin Neighborhoods Cleanup from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Kansas City residents can bring these materials to the church at 8001 Longview Road: documents to shred, anti-freeze, batteries, oil, paint, loose brush and limbs, leaves in plastic or paper bags, tires and rims.
Elderly or disabled residents who need help delivering items should call Shirley Dobbins at 816-761-3278 by noon Thursday. They must live in the area bounded by Interstate 470, 118th Terrace, Raytown Road and Hickman Mills Drive.
Never miss a local story.
Canned goods, cleaning supplies, personal care products and money will be collected.

It’s billed as more affordable.

Walk/run and health fair at Grandview High

Fees for the walk/run range from $5 to $20. Visit grandviewedfoundation.org and find the link on the left.
