The Harrisonville School District has chosen Dennis “Frank” Dahman is its new superintendent. For the last four years, he has been superintendent of the Miami R-1 School District based in Amoret, Mo.
The Harrisonville district said Dahman is a native of Butler, Mo., and has 26 years’ experience as an educator.
He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Central Missouri, where he also received an Educational Specialist degree in superintendency.
Dahman and his wife live in Harrisonville, and their two children are graduates of the Harrisonville School District, according to a district press release.

Dahman replaces Bryan McDonald, who resigned in late January. Tim Ryan has been interim superintendent.
Amoret is in Bates County, just south of Cass County.
