Residents of Platte City’s Ward 2 will decide between incumbent Ron Porter and challenger David D. Ray on April 2.

Porter said the only big issue facing the city right now is the development process along Interstate 29. Ray did not answer questions.

Platte City is divided into three wards with representatives serving two-year terms. The aldermen are elected on alternating years. Tony Paolillo also represents Platte City’s second ward.
