Gently used wheelchairs, walkers, canes, hospital beds and other durable medical equipment will be sold on Oct. 17 and 18 in North Kansas City.
Collaboration Works, a nonprofit, is holding its first warehouse sale at 1300 Burlington. The goal is to clear space for more products and to raise funds to support the nonprofit's mission.
Collaboration Works was founded in 2002 by Peggy Smith, a Liberty social worker, to distribute medical supplies and equipment at low cost based solely on an individual's need.
Among those helped regularly are the elderly, caregivers, individuals with special needs or disabilities, the homeless and those not eligible for government assistance. Many are under-insured, uninsured or have substantial out-of-pocket medical expenses.
The warehouse sale will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 17 and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 18. For more information, call 816-421-1305.
