▪ Students place in regional contest: Four students earned top honors at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art's regional high school art exhibition in St. Joseph.
Park Hill earned the most awards of the 75 high schools who entered. Seniors earned top honors.
Alex Gilbert placed first in printmaking. His entry was titled "The Wild Healer."

Delta Kappa Gamma International
▪ Scholarship available: The Gamma Theta chapter is offering a Memorial Recruitment Grant of $500 for a college student majoring in education.
Applicants need to be Northland women who have completed two years of undergraduate work and who hold a grade-point average of at least 3.0 Transcripts must be included with applications. The grant will be applied to her junior or senior year in 2015-2016.

▪ Resident assistants and mentors named: Northland students have been appointed to serve as resident assistants and first-year experience mentors during the 2015-2016 academic year on the campus in Parkville.
First-year experience mentors are Derek Braun, a sophomore majoring in graphic design from Parkville; Troy Elliott, a junior majoring in secondary education from Smithville; and Nyshele Posey, a sophomore majoring in biology, from Kansas City, North.
Anna Menninger, a sophomore majoring in criminal justice administrations/corrections from Platte City, has been selected as a resident assistant staff member.
