Age: 4 to 5 years

Breed: Siberian Husky

Sex: Female

Description: Icy has a TON of energy to expend and will require a lot of exercise. She will need a 6-foot fence or to be exclusively leash-walked, since her athletic ability combines with her desire to explore, making her a hard dog to contain. Icy is not a fan of other female dogs or cats, but can get along with most male dogs after a proper introduction. She’s housetrained and likes all humans she meets.

Age: 4 to 5 years

Breed: Domestic short hair, black with a white bib

Sex: Female

Description: Persimonne is a little shy, but she is very sweet and playful. Once she is in her forever home, we know she will be extra cuddly and sweet with her humans. She is really coming around with the love and care she receives from her human friends at the shelter. She is looking for a safe, indoor home to call her own. Come by the shelter on Saturdays at 1356 N. 9 HWY from 11-3 or call 816.587.0918 to make an appointment.

Adoption information: The Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter at 1356 N. Missouri 9 is run by volunteers, so please call 816-587-0918 to schedule an appointment, send email to, or go to

Fees of $125 for dogs and $100 for cats include spaying/neutering, shots and microchips.

Volunteers also take pets for adoption to Petco in North Kansas City on Saturdays.
