SUBURBAN GOLD 1. Blue Springs (5-0, 1-0)

Last week: Defeated Liberty 38-21

It's all coming together for the Wildcats, who have rediscovered their rushing attack behind tailback Dalvin Warmack.

2. Lee's Summit (5-0, 2-0)

Last week: Defeated Raymore-Peculiar 44-38

More late-game drama from the Tigers. Tailback Casey Slaughter scored a final-minute touchdown to defeat Raymore-Peculiar.

3. Liberty (3-2, 2-2)

Last week: Lost to Blue Springs 38-21

Riding a two-game losing streak, the Blue Jays need to regain their defensive focus with Rockhurst coming to town.

4. Blue Springs South (3-2, 1-0)

Last week: Lost to Rockhurst 27-6

The passing game has been of little help for the Jaguars. Quarterback Colton Pogue threw four interceptions last Friday.

5. Lee's Summit North (2-3, 0-1)

Last week: Lost to Lee's Summit West 35-3

Ending a three-game losing streak won't be easy with a game against Blue Springs on the horizon Friday.

6. Raymore-Peculiar (2-3,0-3)

Last week: Lost to Lee's Summit 44-38

The Panthers need to close out victories. They have lost twice in the last three weeks on touchdowns in the final minute.

SUBURBAN RED 1. Lee's Summit West (4-1, 2-0)

Last week: Defeated Lee's Summit North 35-3

There's no losing streak for the Titans. They quickly bounced back from the loss to Blue Springs.

2. Park Hill (3-2, 2-1)

Last week: Defeated Ruskin 45-6

With a trip to Kearney on Friday, The Trojans should prepare for a shootout. They are scoring 34 points per game.

3. Park Hill South (3-2, 2-0)

Last week: Defeated Grandview 50-26

Perhaps the league's most underrated team, the Panthers scored 50 for the third straight week.

4. St. Joseph Central (2-3, 1-1)

Last week: Defeated Truman 58-6

The Indians' offense finally got going last week, but they face a tougher test Friday with a trip to Raymore-Peculiar.

5. Ruskin (0-5, 0-2)

Last week: Lost to Park Hill 45-6

Having scored touchdowns in four straight games, the Eagles will take silver linings where they can find them.

6. Truman (0-5, 0-3)

Last week: Lost to St. Joseph Central 58-6

The Patriots welcome Ruskin to town Friday in a game that offers an opportunity for Gregg Webb's first victory.

SUBURBAN WHITE 1. Fort Osage (5-0, 2-0)

Last week: Defeated Raytown 35-0

Following the shutout of Raytown, the Indians have held opponents to six points per game.

2. Staley (3-2, 3-0)

Last week: Defeated Belton 45-7

The Falcons play host to Fort Osage on Friday in a game that may serve as a de facto conference championship.

3. North Kansas City (4-1, 4-0)

Last week: Defeated William Chrisman 21-0

Can the Hornets build some defensive confidence? If so, they can stay in the mix for the conference crown.

4. Raytown (1-4, 1-3)

Last week: Lost to Fort Osage 35-0

The Bluejays have played well in spurts. Spreading that production out over four quarters is key.

5. Belton (1-4, 1-2)

Last week: Lost to Staley 45-7

The offense took a step back last week but can regather its touch Friday against William Chrisman.

6. William Chrisman (0-5, 0-3)

Last week: Lost to North Kansas City 21-0

Things are looking bleak for the Bears, who have been shut out in three consecutive games.

7. Oak Park (0-5, 0-3)

Last week: Lost to Winnetonka 57-5

The second-half schedule lightens up a bit, offering the Northmen a chance to be competitive.

SUBURBAN BLUE 1. Winnetonka (4-1, 2-0)

Last week: Defeated Oak Park 57-5

The Griffins are one of only two teams who remain unbeaten in Suburban Blue Conference play.

2. Kearney (4-1, 3-0)

Last week: Defeated Platte County 44-22

In case it wasn't obvious before, the Bulldogs established themselves as a legitimate threat to compete for the conference title.

3. Liberty North (3-2, 1-1)

Last week: Defeated Raytown South 35-0

The Eagles snapped a two-game losing streak with their third shutout of the season.

4. Platte County (3-2, 1-1)

Last week: Lost to Kearney 44-22

Coach Bill Utz said his team came out sluggish in the loss to Kearney. Hard to argue.

5. Grandview (2-2, 0-3)

Last week: Lost to Park Hill South 50-26

A third straight loss has the Bulldogs searching for answers as they welcome Raytown South to town.

6. Raytown South (1-4, 0-3)

Last week: Lost to Liberty North 35-0

The winning didn't last long. After their first victory, the Cardinals were promptly shut out last Friday.
