A 35-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries early Wednesday when he was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross Interstate 70.
Officers were called just after 2 a.m. to I-70 and Van Brunt Boulevard, where they found the unconscious victim on the shoulder of the interstate, said Capt. Stacey Graves, police spokeswoman.
The man was taken to a hospital. Earlier, police were alerted at least twice that a man was running in and out of traffic. Each time, officers responded to the area but were unable to find the pedestrian.
