A fight between two men at a Kansas City, Kan., block party ended Monday night with one of the men being taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
The wound was not life-threatening, police now report. Earlier on Monday night, Kansas City, Kan. Police Chief Terry Zeigler had written on his Twitter account that the shooting might have been life-threatening.
Police were called to the 3000 block of North 22nd Street at 8:20 p.m. The victim is a black male in his thirties. He was taken to a local hospital. Zeigler reported that the victim was not cooperating with police.
