A pilot escaped with minor injuries after a small, private plane made an unplanned landing at Gardner Municipal Airport Thursday evening, according to authorities.
The Kansas Highway Patrol was called to the scene about 8:40 p.m. The pilot did not need to be taken to a hospital, troopers said.
The airport near West 175th Street and Waverly Road is owned and operated by the city of Gardner.
Details about where the pilot was coming from and what prompted the landing were not immediately available.
