‘American Idol’ auditions come to Kansas City

Several hundred wannabe superstars lined up outside the University of Missouri- Kansas City campus Monday to audition for “American Idol.” The American Idol Bus Tour stopped in the Swinney Commons on UMKC’s Volker Campus from about 9 a.m. until 5 in the blistering heat.
