Bids for a 2012 McLaren MP4-12C were taken by Eddie Powers on Thursday, April 28, 2016, during the sale of vehicles seized by the U.S. Marshals Service from convicted Overland Park embezzler Thomas Hauk. The auction was held at the KCI Auto Auction, 11101 N. Congress Avenue.

Kansas City 3rd District Councilman Jermaine Reed was jubilant after taking his first ride on the KC Streetcar. Some members of the Kansas City Council including other officials and guests were able to ride the KC Streetcar for a preview a round trip ride, Thursday starting at Union Station. The grand opening is scheduled for May 6, 2016.
