A Republic Airlines regional jet veered off a runway at Kansas City International Airport during a maintenance test Wednesday morning.

Two crew members were aboard the US Airways-branded plane as it was performing a test taxi run, KCI spokesman Joe McBride said via Twitter.

There were no passengers aboard. No one was injured and there was no damage to the Embraer E-170 regional jet.

The mishap occurred about 4:30 a.m. on Runway 19/1, which was already closed for maintenance, McBride said.

KCI’s Runway 9/27 is open and the mishap was not causing any delays with air travel.

FAA officials have released the aircraft, but airport officials didn’t have an estimated time on when it would be removed.
