The 9th annual Chalk Walk Festival is underway on The Concourse in Northeast Kansas City. On Saturday, April 23, 2016, youngsters found the bike rack, Constrained Chaos, by artists Dick Jobe and Beth Nybeck, to be a place to create some chaos of their own. The festival continues 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

"It makes awesome tomatoes," said Kelly Jones of Raytown as he loaded up his car with manure on Saturday April 23, 2016, from the Kansas City Zoo. Jones put plastic bins of the composted zoo animal waste in his trunk and back seat for use on his garden.
