Detectives investigating the death of 18-year-old Lloyd Huff of Jerico Springs, Mo., believe he jumped from a moving car on Interstate 49 on Saturday night, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Huff’s body was found about 7 a.m. Sunday in the median of I-49 two miles south of Peculiar.
A tip led investigators to the driver of the car and a passenger, who said Huff was sitting in the back seat of the car when he jumped out about 10 p.m. Saturday as the car traveled on I-49 between Harrisonville and Peculiar.
It was unclear why Huff jumped from the car. No charges were expected to be filed in the case.
