Verrückt water slide definitely won’t open on Sunday

Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City, Kan., announced the latest delay on its website. Verrückt, at 168 feet 7 inches, is the tallest water slide in the world.

The tallest water slide in the world is also becoming the tardiest.

Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City, Kan., announced on its website Thursday that Verrückt, the 168-foot-7-inch daredevil slide, will not open to the public on Sunday.

Originally it was to open May 23, but that got pushed back to June 5 as additional tweaks were made. The latest start date was to have been Sunday, but even that was iffy.

The website gave no further details, but they did release a point-of-view video.
