Two Missouri troopers set out to re-create the ride and conditions on Trooper Anthony Piercy's boat. This run reaches average speeds of 38 to 40 mph. Piercy was going 39.1 to 43.7 mph just before Brandon Ellingson left the boat and drowned May 31. Ellingson's hands were cuffed behind his back. Video obtained from Missouri Highway Patrol.
Dozens of hockey players joined together for a fundraising game in 2016 at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, Ill., in support of Mission, Kan., goalie Bob Klem and his Have a Skate with Bob Foundation that has raised more than $165,000 to fight pancreatic cancer. Klem died during a hockey game in Independence Feb. 16.
Transportation Security Administration officials announced on Friday that KCI has rolled out enhanced security checkpoint measures. The new enhanced electronics screening requires passengers to display all electronic devices larger than a cell phone. Electronics including tablets, laptops, Kindles, and all other electronics now have to be removed from bags and placed in bins for screening by TSA.
