Two cases of measles have been confirmed in Johnson County, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Friday. The announcement gave no details and said only that those at risk of catching the infectious respiratory disease are being contacted and an investigation is ongoing.

The confirmation follows three cases of measles in one family last month in Clay County. In that case, the family had recently traveled outside the country.
