Donnelly College has a new president.
Monsignor Stuart Swetland, 55, a Maryland college administrator, will take over at the Kansas City, Kan., school on July 1. He comes to Donnelly from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md., where he is vice president for Catholic identity and director of pre-theology.
Swetland succeeds Steven M. LaNasa, who left Donnelly in December and moved with his family out of the country. Robert Bartunek, former chairman of the college’s board of trustees, has led the school in the interim.
