The chancellor and president emeritus of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago will serve as interim president of the Kansas City Art Institute, the school announced Thursday.
Tony Jones will take the job Dec. 3. The Kansas City Art Institute’s previous president, Jacqueline Chanda, retired Aug. 4.
“KCAI has always impressed me as a small gem of a college, perhaps better known and even even more highly regarded nationally than locally,” Jones said in a statement announcing the new post.
