A Missouri man was killed Wednesday in a head-on collision with a semi in southeast Kansas.
Ryan Dustin Summers, 29, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., died after his pickup slammed into a semi shortly after 9 a.m. about 8 miles south of Cherryvale on U.S. 169, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol accident report.
Summers was driving his 2006 GMC Sierra south when it veered over the center line, side-swiped a dump truck, continued on and struck the semi head-on, the report said.
Summers died at the scene. No one was injured in the other vehicles, the report said.
