A 39-year-old Oregon man is accused of traveling to Kansas City to have sex with two underage girls in a rendezvous set up by an undercover officer.
U.S. Attorney Tammy Dickinson’s office says 39-year-old Abdul Lamont Gamble of LaGrande, Oregon, was charged Wednesday with traveling across state lines to engage in illicit sex with a minor.
Prosecutors say Gamble contacted the officer over the Internet in October and offered to pay to have sex with the woman’s fictitious 11-year-old and 15-year-old daughters.
Investigators say Gamble arrived in Kansas City on a Greyhound bus April 9. The officer met him at the bus station and took him to a CVS store, where he was arrested when he got out of the car.
Gamble’s public defender was not immediately available for comment.
