A chiropractor and former owner of a Kansas City health clinic pleaded guilty Tuesday to a $3 million health fraud scheme.

Federal prosecutors in Kansas City said that Michael Kelly Miller concocted the scheme to defraud Medicare while he operated Waldo Rehabilitation Health Wellness at 7337 Broadway from February 2009 to December 2011.

Miller, 59, now lives in Florida and operates a health clinic there, prosecutors said.

Under terms of a plea agreement, Miller will face a sentence of 15 to 21 months in federal prison, and must pay restitution of about $890,000. A sentencing date has not been set.
