A 32-year-old woman died Saturday after she lost control of her vehicle on U.S. 40.
The accident occurred just after 11 a.m. when the woman was heading west on U.S. 40 and lost control of her 2003 Ford Explorer, Independence Police said. The vehicle went off the road at 35th street, overturned and ejected the driver. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities on Sunday afternoon had yet to release the woman’s identify, pending notification of family.
