A 40-year-old man who was a fugitive for about six years pleaded guilty Monday to the 2007 armed robbery of a south Kansas City bank.
Marlon Jaye Larry, of Kansas City, held up the Bank of America branch at 10731 State Line Road on June 27, 2007, and made off with nearly $40,000, according to federal prosecutors. Larry struck a manager on the head with a handgun and threatened other bank employees, prosecutors said.
Most of the money was recovered by investigators later that day, but Larry remained a fugitive until his March 2013 arrest in Pennsylvania.
He faces up to 25 years in prison. A sentencing date has been set.
