A good Samaritan who stopped to help a stranded motorist on Kansas 10 was struck by a vehicle Friday night.
The injured man had been driving west on Kansas 10 when he noticed a car stalled in the right-hand lane, said Lt. Ian Ingram of the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The man pulled his car onto the shoulder to help when a third car, also westbound, struck both the stalled vehicle and the man who was trying to help.
The collision occured near the intersection of Kansas 10 and Kansas 7. The man was taken to area hospital, said Ingram.
Authorities were continuing to investigate late Friday night, and the patrol’s Critical Highway Accident Response Team was mapping out the incident scene, Ingram said.
