Missouri man sentenced for prostituting his wife in N. Dakota

A Missouri man has been sentenced for prostituting his 41-year-old wife at a hotel in North Dakota.

Sixty-seven-year-old Marvin Lord, of Festus, Mo., pleaded guilty in Bismarck to a felony charge of facilitating prostitution.

The Bismarck Tribune reports that he was sentenced to the 50 days he already had spent in jail. He also was ordered to perform 100 hours of community service, spend two years on probation, and forfeit a vehicle, two smartphones, a computer and more than $10,000.

Lord’s wife is from China and doesn’t speak English. She pleaded guilty to prostitution charges and spent two weeks in jail.
