Jessica Strom, an Overland Park photographer who volunteers to take photos of premature babies at local hospitals, was featured on NBC’s Today show this morning.

The show’s cameras captured

Strom during a recent photo session at Overland Park Regional Medical Center’s neonatal intensive care unit. The resulting segment

is part of Today’s “Hope To It” series of inspirational stories.

Strom said on the show that her NICU photography gives families a sense of normalcy during an immensely stressful time.

“It turns that scariness around into hope,” she said.

Star Magazine cover story, which was originally published in December. Watch the full Today show segment here.
