Police arrest 14 drivers for DUI at KC checkpoint

Kansas City police nabbed 14 motorists for driving under the influence overnight at a sobriety checkpoint in the 600 block of Prospect Avenue.

Other arrests included six for driving with suspended or revoked licenses , two for moving violations and eight for other traffic violations.

One person was taken in for a felony burglary warrant out of Independence.

About 275 vehicles were stopped at the checkpoint which was conducted between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m.
