Interested in what it’s like to track down fugitives? You can get a taste by following the Clay County Sheriff on Twitter Wednesday.

A member of the Clay County Sheriff’s office will ride along with the department’s Fugitive Apprehensive Unit as it looks for people with outstanding Clay County warrants and tweet about the experience.

The tweetalong begins about 8 a.m. Wednesday. The sheriff’s Twitter handle is



The tweetalong is a glimpse at what the unit does on a daily basis.

“We are going out and showing the public that there’s not many places you can hide with felony warrants or state misdemeanor warrants,” said Jon Bazzano, a 911 dispatcher and social media specialist for the Clay County Sheriff.
