Clay County authorities have accused a 40-year-old Texas resident of allegedly traveling to Kansas City to have sex with two girls.
Prosecutors alleged that John P. Christian of San Marcos, Texas, used a pornographic website to communicate with a man who purportedly arranged for him to have sex with his daughters, ages 11 and 15. In reality, the person was a detective with the Kansas City police vice unit.
Christian was arraigned Monday and was being held on $75,000 bond, according to court records.
Authorities said Christian had communicated with the detective on several occasions and traveled to Kansas City to have sex with the girls. Christian allegedly arranged to pay $400 and give the girls Hello Kitty jewelry and an iPod in exchange for sex. Police arrested Christian Friday after he flew into Kansas City and arrived at a Northland residence.
