A Shawnee man is being sought in the killing of a Kansas City, Kan., man last week, authorities said Monday.

Wyandotte County prosecutors have charged Joshua Hare, 20, with second-degree murder in the Feb. 25 death of Chad Coen.

Coen, 26, was found shot to death in the 1500 block of South 14th Street.

Hare also has been charged with criminal possession of a firearm, prosecutors said.

Hare’s sister, Latisha Hare, 22, was the victim of a homicide in early February. Her body was discovered Feb. 3 in a burning house in the 1300 block of Kansas Avenue. No one has been charged in that case.

Anyone with information about Joshua Hare’s whereabouts is asked to call 816-474-TIPS (8477) or 913-573-6020.
