A vehicle and foot chase involving a possible homicide suspect in Kansas City ended with two men in police custody Friday afternoon.
A Kansas City police officer’s firearm accidentally discharged while the officer attempted to take one of the suspects into custody, but no one was injured.
The chase began near Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard and Bruce R. Watkins Drive when officers stopped a vehicle that earlier had eluded police. After initially stopping, the driver sped away. Near 56th Street and Tracy Avenue the suspects ran from vehicle, but were taken into custody after a foot chase.
