A St. Charles County man will spend 80 days behind bars after attacking his wife with a stun gun because he couldn't find his wallet.

Twenty-six-year-old Brian David O'Neill pleaded guilty earlier this month to felony domestic assault. Police say O'Neill repeatedly assaulted his wife at a relative's home in July 2013.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that St. Charles County Circuit Judge Ted House sentenced O'Neill to three years in prison but suspended that sentence. O'Neill will instead spend 80 days in the St. county jail and must complete five years of probation.
