Kansas City radio: What’s your favorite station and why?

When radio station Alice 102 switched music formats on Feb. 4 and gave itself a new name — KC 102 — its listeners reacted in anger and frustration. More than 80 readers posted comments to The Star’s online story

, most lamenting the new format and vowing to look for another station.

Even in the era of Pandora, Spotify and satellite radio, terrestrial radio still attracts large, devoted audience. Kansas City has a wealth of stations that program everything from modern and classic country, hard rock and Christian music to classic rock, alternative rock and urban-contemporary music.

We’d like to know what stations you listen to and why: What kind of music do they play and how fulfilling are their playlists. And let us know what you think is missing across the Kansas City radio landscape.
