Pop star Rihanna doesn't shy away from releasing raunchy photos and videos, but this time the singer isn't causing controversy alone.
In a recently-released video for Shakira's song "Can't Remember to Forget You," the pop stars can be seen getting close and comfortable with each other in barely-there clothes.
That didn't sit well with Colombia councilman Marco Fidel Ramirez, who denounced the video for its "lesbianism" and chastised the two for their tobacco use.
Last week, Ramirez posted a few statements on Twitter, claiming the video was "simply disgusting" and an "unabashed glorification of lesbianism."
A more toned-down statement was released on the councilman's website.
"The family councilman, Marco Fidel Ramrez, categorically rejects the content of Shakira's latest video because it hurts the moral character of Bogota, Colombia and Latin America's youth. Ramrez is vindicated as the defender of principles and values and profoundly laments that the talented Colombian singer has allowed herself to be part of the moral decomposition by participating in a 'simply disgusting' video with Rihana [sic] another renowned musical artist."
