Lorde’s George Brett-inspired ‘Royals’ wins Grammy for song of the year

A 17-year-old from New Zealand has won the Grammy Award for song of the year. Lorde's "Royals," which was inspired by a photograph of Kansas City baseball great George Brett, beat out big hits from Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Pink and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to win the top prize. Lorde also won best pop solo performance for her No. 1 hit. Daft Punk's 'Random Access Memories' won the night's top award, album of the year.
